How did she go from selling eggs to becoming a billionaire at such a young age? George Ruto responded by saying, “nilikuja Nairobi juzi.” Since he was born in Nairobi, he should instead explain how he acquired his wealth,we also want to learn how to achieve the same. William Ruto manages public funds (our taxes), and he owes Kenyans an explanation of how he acquired his wealth. Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya addresses leadership and integrity. Article 76(2) requires state officers to declare their income, assets, and liabilities regularly, and to explain their sources. Yes, they can be required to explain how they acquired their wealth, especially when questions arise.
