Kurt Haggerty has just concluded his pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Wakefield Trinity at Tong, with several developments discussed. Kurt says that Dan Russell and Ebon Scurr are now back in full training and are in contention to feature on Saturday afternoon. Will Gardiner is also back in training, but it is thought that the game this week will be too soon for the former Hull FC prop forward. Kurt also mentioned that Brandon Douglas, who played 65 minutes for the Halifax Panthers on Sunday, could be recalled, but he hasn't made a decision yet. The Bulls boss will wait for a couple of late fitness tests on Thursday (one of which is on Ryan Sutton, who is struggling with a quad injury) before deciding whether to recall Brandon from Halifax. Kurt confirmed the bad news that most Bradford supporters feared, that Waqa Blake will be out for the next 12 weeks with an MCL injury and that Phoniex Stienwede has undergone surgery for syndesmosis and will be out 10-12 weeks. There is good news for Luke Hooley, who doesn't require surgery for his shoulder injury and he should be back playing next month. Despite these injury setbacks, Kurt is confident that his Bradford side will head to Wakefield and be competitive on Saturday afternoon.
