A multidisciplinary team of archaeologists and computer scientists has developed an AI capable of translating the ancient Akkadian language from cuneiform tablets almost instantly. The AI was trained on samples from the Open Richly Annotated Cuneiform Corpus and can translate both from transliterations of the original texts and directly from cuneiform symbols.
