Atiku’s supporters are trying to emotionally blackmail us, but it won’t work. They know there’s no realistic path for him to defeat Peter Obi in these primaries, especially now that the opposition is pushing for a single consensus candidate. Atiku doesn’t have the same financial leverage he once relied on. That’s why he has often paired with sitting governors as running mates. In 2019, Peter Obi significantly funded that campaign - I’m saying this plainly. Obi is a banker with access to liquid capital, and Atiku understood that advantage at the time. This time, that backing isn’t there. So instead, his supporters are leaning on emotional pressure tactics. But it won’t change anything. OK or nothing.
