What should I do if an artist I really like has closed comms for a long time. Is it appropriate to message them and ask if they will be opening comms soon?

Obviously, I am not the artist and I don’t know what happened. But once the final delivery is given I think it’s fair for a client to give a honest review

I wonder how many people on VGen have gotten lack-lustre deliveries, but have been too scared to write an honest negative review because so many artists pull some horse shit like this and don't want to end up as a google doc or X rant. I've seen other artists publically shame clients for negative reviews with the full username, then other artists who had nothing to do with the commission black-list them too. Call me crazy, but I think people are too lenient with VGen artists. Tell me, what other business can you deliver half-assed work and expect a 5 star rating, then whine publically if you don't get it? I'm tired of people acting like this is a normal or okay to do. Pretty sure we've all seen it many more times than this too.

@Lute__CEO @YvonneRavnhild it's not like a regular business😭 it's not a corporation that just sells product that you may or may not like, the result actually heavily depends on how customer acts what did they expect when artist kindly asked them about edits and they ignored them? also 2/5 is crazy

@ShiUyuseVT I feel this a lot, I am almost never satisfied with my own design and always want to improve. I don’t think it’s a bad thing! At the end of the day you should be happy with your model.

I just revealed the Vtuber model 2 days ago but I already wanted to change my model. I havent even reveal my alt design yet. And I wanted to rebrand again. It is really bad thing of me? My taste evolved while the model was being rigged and while looking at the other Vtubers designs. I just feel like I've grown and my taste has changed. I think during my model was being rigged, I have discovered more about the aesthetic I truly love. And I don't feel like my current model fully captures that.
