MegaETH, The Real-Time Engine Ethereum Needs
Ethereum has long been the foundation for innovation in crypto, but performance constraints have held it back from fully competing with Web2.
MegaETH is solving that not by launching “yet another L2,” but by rebuilding performance fundamentals from the ground up.
While most chains optimize for throughput or decentralization, @megaeth goes for something radically different: real time execution.
On MegaETH, transactions are processed in milliseconds. The sequencer bundles transactions into specialized mini blocks and returns the result instantly without waiting for the full node roundtrip.
It’s the closest thing we’ve seen to an onchain cloud server.
Rather than cramming every responsibility into a bloated full node, MegaETH separates functions by node type:
•Sequencer: Executes transactions
•Replica: Provides fast state reads
•Prover: Generates fraud proofs
•Full Node: Verifies validity
The design is elegant. Efficient. Modular. And it allows real-world apps like trading platforms, games, or financial protocols to run without lag.
This isn’t a tweak. It’s a shift in how onchain infrastructure should work.
