I've just won second prize in @DedalusSpain 's Datathon made in collaboration with Málaga and Sevilla's Universities!! The challlenge consisted in developing a predictive model to know in advance the time a surgery will take, including cleaning, procedure and recovery time

I've created a visual representation of the algorithm to assist in debugging and illustrating the process of obtaining all the cells on the chessboard. Progress is looking promising!

I'm trying to get all 64 squares of the chessboard through Canny edge detection algorithm and Hough transforms. For now, these were the best I could get (i'm working hard to optimize the code):
