i wanted to revisit the pop gun design and make it more bee-themed and then i thought that itd be funny if the lamp crossbow was a slingshot with big bird-themed marbles

johann probably said something like "well even if they're only gonna last for a few years, you'll still have more fun during that time than if they never existed at all!" which felt irrelevant at the time, but hohen ended up keeping the funny gimmick mugs....

i just feel like lobcorp hohenheim would think of printed mugs as annoying and impractical—ink can fade over time and prints will naturally begin to scrape off over years. so it's more efficient to use one with nothing on it if they're gonna fade regardless.

i do think that johann gave hohenheim his first stupid mug... and thats why he now has a lot of them with funny prints or just the branch's name

hohenheim assigns heathcliff the role of assistant because he reminds him of johann of course, but i think hohenheim also is very careful not to mix the two up in his mind. heathcliff is his assistant, but johann is his right hand man. two separate roles that should not be mixed

@AHABSOUP both lamp gregor and tremor-sinking is strong enough that i use them in every daily (hence the post) this image is mostly a product of me being irritated at my bad luck with specifically him 😭 and while i havent used this team in md yet, i imagine he'd be even better there

@AHABSOUP he's much better than linton imo because linton's s1 is that bad and also he innately works better with butterfly (if you're using it) because he has more coins AND he doesn't start siphoning sinking (which tremor/sinking cannot really afford). and i think he's more fun but ymmv

@devafrommercury admittedly this is a very personal post because i just have horrible luck (if you can't tell by the constant 4 speed rolls + always rolling his s3 as his initial bottom skill)😭i like how he plays a lot it just kills me when i set up his s3 and then ryoshu kills the guy first
