Oracle layoffs.
The "gave X years to the company, fired in 15 minutes" stories have to stop. It reflects poorly on you. It portrays you as a professional who can’t stand on your own two feet without a corporate tether.
In those X years, the company gave you:
- Money
- Opportunities to grow
- Network & Friends
- New experiences
If you didn’t leverage those assets to build your own foundation, that’s on you. Not the company.
They didn't put a gun to your head and force you to stay for a decade. It was a transaction, and you were paid in full.
Pick yourself up, learn the lesson, and move on.
Stop the public mourning.

2008: asset value crashed. Borrowers owned money than the asset was actually worth.
2026: asset value is at an all time high. Borrowers are not making enough money to pay.
Asset value crisis vs Cost of living crisis. The latter is a far more serious problem.

Usman Khawaja is a deadset wanker. What an ungrateful bastard. He conveniently forgets “Racist” Australia allowed him to play cricket at the highest level & make millions. But go ahead & bag Australia. He’s free to leave our shores as far as I’m concerned. Don’t like Australia, well then fuck off.

Australian Cricketer Usman Khawaja:
- Born in Islamabad.
- Parents moved to Australia when he was four.
- Married a white Christian girl and converted her to Islam.
- Have two muslim children.
- Played 88 Test matchs for Australia which many Christian players don't.
- Earned Millions. Lives life which is better than majority of the Australians.
- Used his retirement speech to take aim at “right wing" opinions and defended illegal immigration
- Usman could have thanked Australia and its people but he chose to complain. Typical Pakistani behaviour. Just keep taking, never give back.

Meet Usman Khawaja 🤡
- Born in Pakistan
- Married a Christian girl and converted her
- An average cricketer yet he got to play 90 Test matches for Australia
- Has a net worth of around $8 million
- Will surely be in the top 1% of Australians
- But instead of thanking the board in his retirement video this MDC takes a dig at them saying he wasn’t treated properly
- Each one of them is so ungrateful no matter how high or low their professional status is

Why did Alcaraz and Ferrero really split?💔
It was the culmination of 2 years of silent tensions, an "impossible" contract, and an unexpected name on the table: Andy Murray.
José Morón (@jmgmoron), one of the the leading authorities on tennis in Spain, has revealed the full inside story:
Here the key points, in chronological order: 👇
• José says he knew for a long time that Ferrero’s relationship with Carlos’s camp was not good. Throughout the video, José keeps saying “the camp,” but in reality I think he is surely referring to the family — especially Carlos’s father.
• The first tensions appeared in 2023, during the February clay swing in Latin America. Ferrero did not travel and Carlos’s camp did not understand the decision.
• At the end of the year, Alcaraz lost the ATP Finals. Ferrero said that being a professional means behaving like one throughout the whole year, and the comment did not go down well with the camp.
• Ferrero is a very strict coach, while Alcaraz — and his camp — prefer more freedom. But since Carlos won two Grand Slams in 2023, everything continued as normal.
• In 2024, after losing the Olympic final, Alcaraz seemed to be menatlly off. He lost in the first round in Cincinnati and in the second round at the US Open. He admitted that mentally he was not there.
• At the end of 2024, contract negotiations resumed. The camp was unhappy. They believed Ferrero’s rigidity was no longer good for Carlos and wanted to move in the direction we’re now seeing. Their idea was to bring Andy Murray in as coach. But Djokovic moved first, and Alcaraz decided not to break with Ferrero at that point.
• In 2025, Samu López joined the team. The camp wanted someone who would travel when Ferrero did not, and who could soften the environment. The family loved Samu because he is much more relaxed.
• At the end of 2024, Ferrero decided to undergo knee surgery, which prevented him from traveling with Carlos to the 2025 Australian Open. The camp took this badly. They did not understand the timing and did not like that Carlos had to travel to a Grand Slam without his coach.
• In March, Alcaraz lost in the first round in Miami and then went on holiday with his family to disconnect.
• Overall, it seemed that when Alcaraz showed signs of burnout, Ferrero did not fully supported this kinf of disconnections. But after that break, Carlos started shining again — he won almost everything he played — and the camp felt this proved their point: that Carlos sometimes needs distance and time off.
• May 2025: the Netflix documentary “In my way” (I strongly recommend it if you have not watched it yet) was released. They did not like Ferrero’s comments. His view of work and sacrifice felt very different from theirs, and it raised doubts about whether Carlos could become the greatest ever under that philosophy. Some even wondered how long Ferrero would last on the team if he continued like that.
• August 2025: Ferrero did not travel to Cincinnati. During the final, he was seen on TV attending a football match — at exactly the same time. Again, this did not go down well. (I didn't know this and I can understand the family here...)
• At the end of the year, Ferrero asked for a new contract proposal for 2026, and was surprised at how long it took to arrive.
• Ferrero had a high percentage of Carlos’s earnings — something that made sense when Carlos started, but far less now that the prize money is much higher. That percentage was reduced in the new contract, although it does not seem to have been the decisive factor in the breakup.
• In a year-end interview, Ferrero said he lives at his academy — "it is like an oasis in a stressful life". According to José, this did not sit well with Alcaraz’s camp, because the family believes the world No. 1 should have a coach who lives in Murcia, or at least spends most of the year there.
• The relationship between Alcaraz and Ferrero was always good, even though Carlos was never fully convinced by his coach’s strict philosophy.T he decision was made by the family. José’s view is that they had sounded out several coaches, but none of them wanted to live in Murcia. Combined with Ferrero’s strong attachment to Villena, it may be that they effectively asked him to move — and he refused. (This is his opinion, it is not information)
• Despite the split, Samu and several team members still belong to Ferrero’s academy, so there is no hostility. Ferrero’s academy will continue supporting Alcaraz.
• Looking ahead: the plan is for Samu to coach Alcaraz during the first part of the season, while keeping the option open to bring in another coach later. José also believes it is not impossible that, if results are disappointing, Alcaraz could one day ask Ferrero to return.
🎥 In my next post you’ll find the full video. I really recommend watching it if you want all the details.
