It’s easy to fall into the black pill loop of constantly feeding us the next hypocritical thing Trump is doing, like the iced caviar, but I think democrats need to equally highlight the good programs going on in this country.

“Outsourcing obedience” Bro, we live in a society. We need to raise revenue for our government to function. So that YOU get paid for your work. What we’re voting on is how much and where it goes. Why are we being governed by lobotomized teenagers who never grew up?
Trevor Lee@VoteTrevorLee

Can the government love YOUR neighbor? The Good Samaritan used his own money. The widow gave her own mite. The early church sold their own possessions. Voting to tax your neighbor isn’t sacrifice. It’s outsourcing obedience.

@chron33 Yeah . . . you're clearly incapable of applying concepts even theoretically, to new philosophical structures once they're explained to you. Sad.

He yearns to be seen as a political influencer with none of the study that requires. He literally just wants more clicks and attention in his sphere of influence. He is the performative male final boss.

I don’t understand how China’s communism is something to aspire to if they *also* have oligarchs calling all the shots, in addition to unfair elections. What is Hasan yearning for, really? Even more money and status at the top of the heap?

@OhruJordan Just not for me. And I think for the most part, religion is just a way for humans to control other humans. But yeah dude. I’m sure your bias, your religion, out of all religions, thoughts, ideas, and humans, you got it figured out. ;)

@OhruJordan Others have a loving universal salvation god they’re worshipping where they don’t need to constantly repent with a bishop. And you can’t say which is correct. Because they made it up. All of them did. We all did. Because we’re humans trying to figure it all out. And that’s okay

@OhruJordan @sister_slay Mormons aren’t the only christians? lol Bishops means something to different religions. Pastors are pretty much what they are in the analog to most Christian’s. But sure whatever dude. You got me, I was never in the church, a missionary, an apologist. I’m a liar. Congrats.

You're obviously lying 😂 A pastor... You say you're an ex-mormon but you're talking about pastors? Yeah, that's cap. Especially someone who identified as a Mormon apologist would know better. You could very well have personal experience, but I'm willing to bet that all stems from your childhood. Born and raised in the church, then turned sour in your teen to early 20's. You had little to no understanding by the time you left the church. I have lots of friends with that exact story and they use incorrect terms and state incorrect doctrine all the time. It's fine, you're free to make those choices, but don't claim a station you never held. I mean, all this on top of your false representation of our practices... You've lost all credibility at this point.

@OhruJordan This is the classic survivorship bias. Anything you see as additive is seen as from god, anything detractive is seen as a lesson from god. What about those that see their life get harder when they join the church? Or those that leave and become better?

This story could be changed to literally any commandment. "I stopped going to church and when I began going again I saw blessings." Just because there is money involved does not mean it's any more transactional. We are not buying blessings. We try to follow Christ as close as we can and are promised blessings for our efforts. We know our money goes to help those in need and to spread the gospel we love, therefore we give what we can.

@OhruJordan @sister_slay Lmaooooooo. I was one of you. Born and raised and an apologist for a long time. But sure, my personal experiences, and whatever this lady says, isn’t the gospel. It’s whatever you say lol

@Primary_Pianist Now you’re getting it. Nothing matters and your made up rules are just a way to feel like there is a controlling force in this chaotic universe. But I’m guessing that’s your biggest fear. That there is no god setting up a plan for any of this.

@chron33 Are you insane? Are you just incapable of applying principles as taught to you? Or are you compelled for some reason to just ignore how these things are actually practiced, and make shit up?
