@Kaio08941696 @FrankGrimes_Jr @FindlayCourier Ok if you think the article was against meta-analysis instead of against *poorly-done* meta analysis then.... It's clear you didn't even read the article. With habits like that, it's no wonder you are poorly informed and easily mislead.

@cin_bees @FrankGrimes_Jr @FindlayCourier I said he had an axe to grind because he focused on Ivermectin, not because of his analysis of the studies. A LOT of studies regarding covid and it's treatment are bad. However, the meta-analysis of the results over many studies CAN you you some decent insights.

@Kaio08941696 @FrankGrimes_Jr @FindlayCourier You are why we need vaccine mandates. We can keep inventing the tools to keep us prospering, but human insecurity and ego-sheilding like yours keeps undermining it all. You don't need to understand. You just need to listen.

@Kaio08941696 @FrankGrimes_Jr @FindlayCourier Sorry no -- you don't get to just dismiss an expert who takes the time to walk laypeople carefully through the appropriate criteria for assessing studies as 'having an axe to grind'. & then try to change the subject and act like your discredited site still has any merit? Ha! No.

@cin_bees @FrankGrimes_Jr @FindlayCourier Interesting article. The author pretty clearly has an axe to grind though. I see why you like it. I don't care about Ivermectin though. I care about EARLY TREATMENT. That site I linked covers a lot more than that.

@Kaio08941696 @FrankGrimes_Jr @FindlayCourier I have a PhD in biochem/microbial genetics and work in molecular diagnostics. I'm not an epidemiologist but I am far more of an expert than either of you. I'm tired of pretending our opinions are equally valid -- they are not. And no, that was not a correct use of hypothesis.

@AlanGIsaac @whstancil "The People" are tired of being told everything they need from taxes is too expensive... Especially in the same breath that pours all of our money into the military and gives the wealthy infinite bailouts and tax breaks. 'budget costs' are code for 'screw the populace'

Can anyone explain why we spent months negotiating with Joe Manchin, slicing Build Back Better down from 3.5 trillion to 1.75 trillion, if he was just going to kill it all along?

I don’t like Assange or his cult and think he’s a rapist, that doesn’t make me happy that he’s being extradited to be tried as a spy for exposing war crimes.

@FrankGrimes_Jr @Kaio08941696 @FindlayCourier It absolutely can do that with a fast and thorough roll-out, and experts of disease control has been screaming all year that our politicized roll-out would backfire. Please do not talk like you are an expert. You are not. You don't even know how to use 'hypothesis' correctly.

@cin_bees @Kaio08941696 @FindlayCourier This just isn't true. It's a hypothesis. That's it. We understand what you think. Unfortunately it just isn't true. This vaccine cannot do that. That isn't what the real world data says. It is not preventing infection or transmission. And severe disease benefits fade very fast.

@Kaio08941696 @FrankGrimes_Jr @FindlayCourier We did not vaccinate fast enough, and we didn't vaccinate 3rd world. We have to shrink the global viral load to reduce the adaptation rate. Vaccines were wildly effective at preventing disease, not just symptoms. They were not sterilizing -- another argument for requiring vax.

@cin_bees @FrankGrimes_Jr @FindlayCourier Vaccines in general are wonderful... however, the covid vax as it currently stands is of limited use since it only offers symptom mitigation. It's for a version of the virus that is effectively extinct. Covid mutates fast & it's already escaped the vax with Omicron.

@Goldenthrone40k @BriocheWindows I just told you cigarettes have literally destroyed my family. Fuck you and your "slightly dangerous" BS Cigarettes have gotten off easy bc of corporate corruption & propaganda, incl the 'individual agency' brainwashing you've swallowed

@Kaio08941696 @FrankGrimes_Jr @FindlayCourier Vaccines are not of "limited use". They are the only tool that has ever successfully reined in a highly contagious disease. They are the only strategy that isn't whack-a-mole at point of illness. Antivaxxers wont listen to govnt about early treatment, they just want ivermectin.

@cin_bees @FrankGrimes_Jr @FindlayCourier True. However, if early treatment were made a priority by the government, they would spend a little time to PUSH that... not getting a vax of limited use. The failure isn't in the patients... it's in the politics.

@Goldenthrone40k @BriocheWindows I DO NOT CARE if it goes black market, bc even if it does it will make it harder to use constantly. Banning booze and pot logistically doesn't work bc of how it is used (occasionally, off work). Cigarette bans will work beautifully.

@Goldenthrone40k @BriocheWindows Most people who smoke wish they didn't. It is not a fun drug. It is one of the hardest drugs to quit. My Mom smoked up until 2 days before she died, and only bc she was in hospital. Das didn't quit until they took his larynx. I never started bc their smoking gave me asthma.

A sketch to explain how a new variant may appear milder even with no change in underlying virulence. This can occur because, when calculating the fraction of cases that are severe, the denominator now includes many re-infections that had previously been averted. A thread. 1/8

@HonestyMatterz @ADivorcing "Red flag" is when a guy's enthusiasm indicates he isn't or can't hear her signals to slow down or back off. But it doesn't sound like that is what's happening. She is carefully engaging, and he's just wearing a suit - he doesn't seem to be demanding anything

@FrankGrimes_Jr @FindlayCourier Also, they make no mention of early treatment when it's been proven early treatment is a more effective strategy, shortening hospital stays & preventing many deaths.
