Notre Dame missing out on Nick Marsh is kind of a big deal. From an ND fan’s perspective I’ll say the quiet part out loud. If Bevacqua didn’t make ND look pathetic and immature, and fans didn’t complain for so long about CFP then they would land more in the portal, but I digress.

ND wasn’t prepared defensively those first 2 games, and clearly hurt them for playoff consideration. We’re more so pissed off that the rest of the season’s defense didn’t show up week 1 and 2.

I will say this. The amount of msgs I have gotten from Notre dame fans about Minchey and how much they love him, has me feeling much better about him.
One thing I have learned over my 30 plus years as a football fan. Listen to the fans of the former team. In regards to players and coaches.

@CKemp8264 @SkersNews You may want to bookmark this come next season. If he goes to Nebraska you’re getting a phenomenal QB. It wasn’t that he wasn’t “good enough”. He battled CJ Carr to the end of camp, and Carr will be a future first rounder. Fans absolutely love this kid.

So, Notre Dame’s AD was the one who made the decision to cancel their bowl game.
It wasn’t Freeman or the players. The roster is allegedly pretty upset, which is more than understandable and why many of us thought it was the wrong move.

I'm told Ivan Maisel's book signing at the Hammes Bookstore on Friday afternoon is back on. He will also be back on campus during the spring game week to sign copies of "American Coach" a biography on Frank Leahy. Maisel is a member of the College Football Playoff Committee.

I truly hope for Notre Dame’s sake that this is only due to looking out for Ivan Maisel’s best interest with possible backlash of ND fans’ views of the committee itself even though he recused himself from Notre Dame talks. Otherwise, ND just keeps digging bigger holes.🤦🏻♂️

To be honest, knowing how much Freeman hates attention on himself which is well documented on video, he may quite frankly want to rinse his hands of all this considering his public persona has quickly taken a hit for no concrete reason, and yes, take off to the NFL.
