Me to Student rapidly closing tabs as I approached “hey, that’s Sus, what’s the hurry to close tabs?” Student “please don’t say Sus, it sounds wrong when teachers say it” Me “oh, is it too cringe?” Student “stop, please” Me (verbally) “skull emoji” 💀

@anniek_p I won't speak for everyone but I do know a district that locked it down after a virus spread through EVERY teacher computer. If the teachers would not have had admin control, it would have only affected a few. It is frustrating, but there may be more reason than control.

I feel disrespected by my district's computer controls. I can't download things or change default settings unless I get an tech admin to come sign in on my computer. It's a petty power grab. So frustrating how many things I cannot do for myself because they do not trust me.

@MichelleBucha16 @anniek_p Just FYI, that email sent out to everyone. Google set up a new 18+ policy and sent emails out to those not 18+ the day BEFORE the changes took effect in Google admin. You're probably still good to use what you need.

@anniek_p Agreed. I was notified by You Tube last month that my district has declared me under 18, which restricts my access to certain material I've used in years'past

Mrs. Sonya Gabbard's students are virtually meeting with a docent from the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology in Italy as they wrap up their unit learning about Ötzi the Iceman. Museo Archeologico dell’Alto Adige iceman.it/en/ @southdearborncs

Some days I solve problems with flair and gusto. Other days, I sit in support chat rooms trying to figure out solutions to problems so others don't have to. Other days, I'll see a squirrel and I'll have a random conversation with it even though I'm inside and it can't hear me.

@ExpeditionsPro I'm excited. I'm trying to test out now. Just have to get it figured out for connecting to a guide. :)

@dianargill @LemenagerSteph @dianargill If we want OER to work, teachers have to be trained and given TIME to create. Expecting them to know where to find or how to make and then asking them to do it on top of their other responsibilities, most likely on their own time, is not efficient or helpful.

@LemenagerSteph You know I'm a fan. I wonder if we invested in learning more about OER if we would feel the same way after. Thoughts? #INeLearn

Mostly adopted, but I create a lot of my own. When I was a classroom teacher, I found that in the time that I spent searching for the perfect thing...never finding it....I could have created exactly what I was looking for. #INeLearn
