They aren’t giving that up. Only way they move up is if we give them a discount since this draft isn’t on paper as great as others and many are saying isn’t even close to 2027 draft. I’d bet the most the give up is pick 20

@Microwave1213 @belac44 @PHNX_Cardinals @McShay13 Ya for sure and you very well could be right. But for me it’s not like we have to move from the third pick if we don’t think the compensation is worth it. Which for me at least there are definitely players worth third overall in this draft class

@declanring2 @belac44 @PHNX_Cardinals @McShay13 Different draft classes require different compensation. For all we know there was a bidding war to go up and get Will Anderson with that pick, which very well may not be the case here with Bailey

@belac44 @PHNX_Cardinals @McShay13 I see your point when it comes to a prospect level which i agree with, but i still believe when your pick is high enough it has a set value and isn’t subjective to the draft class, if dallas called only offering a third and 12 id tell em to kick rocks lol.

@declanring2 @PHNX_Cardinals @McShay13 I remember that trade well. I don’t see someone fining all that up in THIS draft. Bailey isn’t Will Anderson and it’s a weak qb draft. Happy to be wrong, I just don’t see it. Dallas is dumb though

@belac44 @PHNX_Cardinals @McShay13 I suggest you look back at our trade with the texans in ‘23. For the third pick, that netted us 2 firsts, a second, and we only gave up a late round pick. If dallas wants to move up they know the price.

@JohnnyVenerable Honestly wouldn’t be against this, top tackle and ty simpson, collin simmons is also in next years draft. Sucks because i think bain is gonna prove some naysayers wrong.

Current guess on the Arizona Cardinals draft plan...
Find a way to trade pick #3 for a watered down mini-package (an extra 3rd, etc).
Still secure either Francis Mauigoa/David Bailey.
Utilize new draft capital to trade back up for Ty Simpson.

@KSzn2021 I think bain has to the move at 3, i think you have to scale the talent the talent you can get at 34. I think the cardinals would be more likely to get a better tackle at 34 compared to an edge, there is a steep drop off in edge talent imo compared to RT. Edge at 3 RT at 34.

@KSzn2021 I think a lot of the fanbase needs to chill, not signing malik makes me feel better for our long-term outlook for the team and makes it more likely for us to have a quarterback of our picking next year, while building the bones of the team this year.

I have said I was down for the Malik Willis experiment but I’d like to think the cardinals passed on Willis because Mike Lafluer wasn’t pounding the table for it given he wasn’t the perfect fit for his offense and also he has his brother to lean on for any intel on Malik

@KSzn2021 The only thing that eases me is that i imagine that matt lafluer 100% gave his brother the inside scoop about willis, in that regard it feels more like a calculated gamble. I hope it works out!

The Malik GB highs were ELITE but there were so few plays this experiment is going to be insane but the cardinals basically put themselves in a position where they have to do it.

We have seen a trend over the last couple years of late round running backs having a role in the league, and I think Roman Hemby could be one of those guys. He is a bigger running back at 6'0 210lbs and is would project well in a zone scheme which I believe MILF will be bringing-

First #AZCardinals Mock draft of 2026, Heavy on the trenches in the first 3 rounds. I believe that Rueben Bain Jr will be my top pick no matter what throughout the draft process, dude is a stud and I love the idea of pairing him with our new Dline coach Pete Kwiatkowski and Walt
