Before she passed away in June 2018, Georgia educator Tammy Waddell made one final request. She did not want flowers at her funeral. Instead, she asked people to bring backpacks filled with school supplies for children who needed them. Tammy was 58 and had spent around three decades in education, working as an elementary school teacher and paraprofessional in Forsyth County, Georgia. She taught at schools including Sawnee Elementary, Cumming Elementary, and Haw Creek Elementary, and was known for helping students even if it meant spending her own money on supplies. At her funeral, the church aisles were lined with donated backpacks. Around 100 teachers who had worked with her served as honorary pallbearers and helped carry the backpacks back to local schools. Reports said about 130 backpacks were donated, filled with supplies for students in need. Her cousin, Dr. Brad Johnson, later shared the photos and described her as “a teacher to the end.” Tammy’s final lesson was simple but powerful: even in her last goodbye, she found a way to serve children.

Salias woke up AGAIN this morning COVERED in mosquito bites! Does anyone know a NATURAL source of mosquito repellent because I feel like such AWFUL mom seeing him suffer all day with this itching! Mosquitoes are AWFUL this year and they always get into our home and bite him throughout the night! I refuse to spray my babies with that toxic "OFF" stuff! I've seen people use it to spray the weeds in the cracks of their driveway to get rid of them within a day so if it effectively harms the cells of plants, i can only imagine what it does to our babies!
