i try to not get into arguments online about it anymore because its soooo draining but. i can deal with toby foxs writing style with lgbt rep most of the time but its so hard when it comes to lesbian rep. theres people still saying UNDYNE of all people isnt canonically a lesbian

tl;dr i think theres a difference between people who genuinely just need explicit confirmation to accept things and those who are viciously lesbiphobic. and if toby didnt use his writing style the former would be nearly entirely eliminated. both types annoy me though

@One_in_Black i mean its a due to him never explicitly saying a characters sexuality. its not his "fault" but its a byproduct of his writing style. all because it has drawbacks in fandom spaces doesnt mean hes like evil

@Sait_Real well i mean i just disagree tbh. i think if he said explicitly "undyne is a lesbian" lesbiphobic people would still exist but the amount of people saying "she could like men" would be significantly lower

People are so obtuse and lesbiphobic on this matter it’s genuinely irritating cause I can’t imagine being shown a character not only is only attracted to women but is also not attracted to a super hot guy laying seductively on her piano and people still think “Yep. She’s bi.”
