If it’s going to a preliminary instead, then one can assume the prosecution has been building a strong case.

@icecastles22 @KatKanDew @CoffindafferFBI Yes. When there is a preliminary hearing, there is no need for a grand jury. Grand juries establish if there is probable cause to move forward. If the case went in front of grand jury and they found probable cause then there wouldn’t be a preliminary.

@dmmsfs @KatKanDew @CoffindafferFBI I’ve seen cases get to a Grand Jury so there is not a preliminary hearing. Keeps the defense from getting a preview. And it’s not public. Are you saying that because a prelim is scheduled there cannot be a Grand Jury convened?
