@_MrDoorey Fair enough! I just don’t think the rule is a good one. Any player could try win the ball knowing they can’t get it and commit the foul to stop a goal. I feel like in that scenario when it so obviously would have been a goal the punishment should have been harsher.

@doolsta Doesn’t work like that anymore unless it’s a vile foul. If you want to go for ball it’s yellow if it’s to stop that goal (even if you know it’s going to be a foul) it’s red

@_MrDoorey Contact was extremely minimal if anything, agreed. But if they went to VAR and said it was a foul then surely it should be a red. It was a clear open goal he was about to score in!
