Shout out to Grix For always inspiring me .

Hey guys 🔥I just dropped my first tool for #AEWFightForever 👀 👊 The AEO Mod Manager Soft Beta is finally out 🔥 I’ve been working on this since September… and honestly, coding is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to teach myself I’m still not good lol . But I stuck with it and made this happen. ✅ One-click mod toggles
📂 Folder support
⚡ Drag & drop mods
🎮 Instant modded/vanilla launch 💾 Instant folder detection smoother installs, better control, and more tools on the way. Appreciate everyone who’s been supporting along the way 🙏 .

@The_ChrisKO There's some really good Patreon's out there that offer tools and support, we have our tool @dot_discovery, and offer a Patreon service to teach modding - I definitely recommend experimenting with Blender more with YouTube tutorials before signing up to any.

@dotGrix Grix! I am trying to learn modding, where do you think is the right place to start? I know bare basics in Blender.

@ItsAlwaysLuna Ah there is a lot of talented CAW creators, and with the increase of 200 slots I'm sure that'll get filled up with good quality content.

@ItsAlwaysLuna Appreciate that! All teams work incredibly hard - it's great that the timeframe into modding is getting much faster each year.

@jdgaming2025 I would hope not, it's a great outlet for people in many ways - I think back to this all the time. x.com/dotGrix/status…

I've never told this story publicly and only a couple people know it. When WWE 2K22 dropped and we were modding it, an 18 year old kid messaged me asking for help with modding (early @dot_discovery days), I got him setup and he was away creating what he wanted to create - we stayed in touch and he told me he had terminal cancer (lymphoma). For around 7 months this kid would show me his creations, gave me ideas and was more enthusiastic about custom creations than some of your favourite modders; we hazed each other about what was inevitable for him, but outside of this his mind was so transfixed on modding, showing his family what he had achieved even, it took his mind off what he knew. I received a message one day from him, but it wasn't him it was his mother writing to me. She thanked me for all the gaming I did with him (she didn't understand modding, but that's what she was referring too) because once he started the gaming he wasn't sad anymore, he was happy and enthusiastic for that entire time. He passed away in his sleep peacefully. Modding is more to some people than you think. Thank you for giving me endless motivation kid, miss you.

@dotGrix i still have this feeling they’re gonna drop pc next year. because it makes no sense to lock pc to its own cc server. to just stop people from putting mods on consoles? nah they planning on nuking pc. i hope i’m wrong but bookmark this for next year

Let’s have a conversation, Vandy. If you’re actively watching what the WWE 2K modding community does — and even drawing inspiration from it — why is the response from your team to keep adding barriers to stop us? You can’t publicly acknowledge the value modders bring while privately implementing sloppy, excessive encryption to undermine that same community; encryption that looks like you licked a keyboard. In #WWE2K26, there was an attempt to prevent modding. That makes you look deeply disingenuous.

@NathanDuffin03 Yeah, my tool is paid because building and maintaining it takes a huge amount of work. People are absolutely free to make alternatives, but most who try quickly realize how much effort is involved. That’s usually why they either give up or end up charging too

@NathanDuffin03 I've had it said to me that, that doesn't impact anything - plus majority of them release their content for free after a month or two. Appreciate the kind words though!

@dotGrix It’s probably in some part related to every single mod released for 2k games being locked behind multiple pay ways u guys are talented and deserve support but at the end of the day u are using their game to make money

@VinnyHaw @OrcsMustDie There's like 8-12~ layers of encryption, it's another extension of it, and it's just a bunch of pointless waffle - like an employee trying to appear busy at his job. A very pointless cat and mouse game.

@dotGrix @OrcsMustDie I'm not familiar with the WWE games modding scene. What's different from 2k25 vs 2k26? In terms of modding accessibility.

@VinnyHaw @OrcsMustDie That explains deterrence, not sabotage. Better security for legal distance is one thing. Targeted anti-modding measures are another. Absolutely man, get your shit in - will take a peep.👊

@dotGrix @OrcsMustDie Having better security versus previous years game also build up on plausible deniability. They show that they actively try to deter modding and that can help with possible legal battles. The devs like mods, the lawyers dont. Self promo here then lol nexusmods.com/profile/VinnyH…

I understand why a studio might avoid official mod support for legal or PR reasons. That gives them distance and plausible deniability. But that is not the same thing as intentionally making modding harder behind the scenes. One is non-support; the other is active interference. I had no idea there were mods for Orcs Must Die, will check them out!

@dotGrix Plausible Deniability is the reason I create mods for @OrcsMustDie and they do not have native tools and they encrypt their data. But the game director has acknowledged my mods and likes them. By not supporting mods natively they can say "hey we don't condone this shrek mod"
