@NationalEclipse I am really "low on the totem pole" as far as international eclipse chasers go. But the few times I emailed Jay with eclipse questions he always took the time to respond. Very gracious of him. His contributions to the eclipse dialogue will be missed.

Hurricane halo! There is a 22-degree halo around the sun in central PA due to the clouds on the northern edge of Hurricane Ian. You can also make out part of the Upper Tangent and parts of a Parhelic Circle (1st time I've ever seen these features!)

@NWSSacramento I was with @NightSkyPark and armed with @eclipse_timer 's great app. Eastern Oregon was beautiful and the smallmouth bass fishing was good too!
