i genuinely find the difference between the chrysos heirs and the flamechasers so funny 😭 the flamechasers were almost always beefing with each other, and so many of them have tried to kill another flamechaser at least once. meanwhile, the most serious “beef” 1/3

@Aarclann but where did i say conflict between characters was inherently a good thing? all i said was that it was kind of funny how fundamentally different their group dynamics are. the flamechasers are just way more dysfunctional than the chrysos heirs. that’s literally all there is to it

@knifexscar I don't think beef between characters is inherently good. It's certainly unique for hoyo, and hi3 does an amazing job of making it fun and interesting — however, any sort of dynamic can be well-made, and distrust is not inherently better than buddy-buddy like the tone suggests

@gilgamesh9908 adding onto this, the game itself stated the heirs would be born at the exact time they were needed most. they were basically destined to become heroes whether they wanted it or not, against all odds 😭

@knifexscar The big difference between the flame chasers and Chrysos heirs were flame chasers stepped up because no one else COULD. The heirs were chosen by golden blood. They also were too reliant on Titans. Flame chasers used honkai powers as well but didn't rely on it.

@DeadW3ightz well, they’d still have to get along to a certain degree since they were all working toward the same goal 😭 my point is that their internal conflicts were way more serious and tense than anything the chrysos heirs had

@knifexscar Eh I suppose so, the Flame Chasers get along for the most part. Even Kalpas or Mobius who are objectively the most violent of them are still liked by the rest. The most disliked is Mobius and even that is just “she’s kinda crazy and makes me uncomfortable.” then actual malice
