I'm going to toot my team's horn for a second. Two weeks ago, we recommended this topic to our client as having "strong Discover potential." They ran with it and wrote an article. I'd say the article worked out well. (This is a single post on Discover over the course of a week.)

At some point we need to have a serious discussion about (non-wire) syndication and ALL THE THINGS associated with it's impact on search engines. (I'm not talking about AP and Reuters.) Today is not that day, but that day is coming.

The demise of Web Stories begins. And it makes complete sense. The latest update from Google is that Web Stories do not show in Discover in a Stories carousel anymore. And Stories will NOT show in Google images anymore. Also, I think grid view for Web Stories in Search is not a thing anymore. See the update below, and then screenshots of the old description and new. "In the Discover feed, Web Stories can appear as a single card where you can tap through the story.
