What happened at the Washington Post today is soulless, cowardly and doesn't make sense from a business perspective. What they cut goes against their own strategy: teams that garnered high subscriptions; had loyal, diverse readers; did video; covered breaking news (our backbone)

I was laid off from The Washington Post today. I know, real original sentence. My first plagiarism in 20 years of journalism. My job was stupid fun and I loved every minute of it. I’m sad for my talented colleagues but sadder the world will not get to enjoy to their amazing work

Despite economic insecurity etc , a long line has formed outside South Pas. CA Trader Joe’s in anticipation of release of mini tote bags which are apparently “really cute” per person in line (who also said it’s unrelated to possible price increase from tariffs). 🤷
