Arteta isn't flexible and doesn't know how to maximize his squad. This is why we've not won anything in recent years. This is why we drop form during the business end of the season. This is why our players are looking burnt out right now. You don't understand me? I'll explain... There's a reason why teams have 25 players available in their squad. Of course you can only start 11 and have about 9 substitutes on a matchday. Maximizing the usage of this squad properly helps in keeping the players fresh and sharp each week. Pep is a genius when it comes to this, he sure knows how to use his players. He doesn't let his emotions get the better of him and that's why he's been a serial winner all along. He doesn't play the same starting lineup every gameweek, he studies the opponents and sets up with the right profile that suits the game. He also leans towards players that are in form and drops whoever isn't. At some point this season, Reijnders was in form and playing weekly, now he's not even playing again. Same for Foden, even the Cherki that's balling right now was also dropped at some point. Arteta doesn't seem to know how to do this and it's why we keep falling short around April every season. He doesn't trust his squad well enough, he only trusts his starting 11 and that's so not going to help. Footballers are humans, not machines. Saka is sufferring from this right now and so is Timber. There were games we were winning already earlier this season and he still wouldn't take out Saka or Timber, all of that contributes to what's affecting us right now. He's played Zubimendi all season with no rest and now it has affected him because he's never played this number of minutes at this point of a season before in his career. There's Norgaard who's PL proven and yet he won't give him minutes, it's so exhausting. If we fall short this season, don't blame it on injuries or any player but rather the coach and until he learns to maximise and trust his squad we'll keep having this same issue.
