Consultant came to review our admission from the call. Saw the child’s X-ray and said child is SCD but mother refused and my reg argued too. Conso swore that with the X-ray features, child is SCD. Reg stood his ground and conso said they should bet. Tested at four different labs and guess what??? Child was actually SCD and diagnosis became Acute Chest Syndrome.
