@flintatron @Noudwa @JustinWhang Yeah sure you can play Hollow Knight and other very low power, non-demanding games, but absolutely no one is going to pay that much just for the novelty. The Steam Frame, per Valve's own marketing and interviews, is a "streaming-first" device.

@xentinyl @Noudwa @JustinWhang They created a whole proton translation layer so games can run natively off its arm chip and are implementing a way to make standard games rendered stereoscopically. it will definitely be a selling point.

@Noudwa @flintatron @JustinWhang They haven't marketed it as standalone so much as a companion to your PC, which is literally the entire point of their foveated streaming tech. So you're just straight up incorrect. It CAN be used standalone but only for low-power games, and that's not the main use case for it.
