Wir müssen uns darüber im Klaren sein, dass wir hier sonst Lebenszeit und -energie hier verschwenden an Bots und (bezahlte) Trolle.

Lieber Eberhard ( @EberhardSchlie ) und an alle, die gehen, weil es zu viel geworden ist: Ich lese eure Abschiedsposts und jedes einzelne trägt dieselbe Erschöpfung in sich. Diese Müdigkeit, die entsteht, wenn man über Jahre gegen Lärm, Hass und Verrohung anschreibt. Dieses Gefühl, dass die eigene Stimme im Strudel der Radikalisierung untergeht. Und ja: Das zehrt. Niemand muss sich dafür schämen, wenn die eigene Energie endlich wird. Es ist kein Aufgeben. Es ist Ehrlichkeit mit sich selbst. Und doch möchte ich etwas festhalten, bevor ihr geht: Eure klaren Haltungen zu Wissenschaft, Demokratie, Menschlichkeit, zu #NoAfD und #ScienceRules waren nie vergeblich. Gerade weil es aussichtslos wirkt, sind solche Stimmen kostbar. Viele von uns stehen an ähnlichen Punkten: müde, angewidert, manchmal fast resigniert. Aber genau diese Haltung, nicht wegzuschauen, sondern Paroli zu bieten, hat hier einen Unterschied gemacht. Denkt an all die stillen Mitleser und Mitleserinnen, die durch eure Worte Mut gefasst haben. An diejenigen, die dank euch Sprache gefunden haben für das, was sie selbst nicht so präzise formulieren konnten. Das ist kein kleiner Beitrag. Das ist Widerstand im Alltag. Wenn ihr geht, geht mit erhobenem Kopf. Wenn ihr bleibt oder irgendwann zurückkommt, dann nicht aus Pflicht, sondern weil ihr wisst, dass wir hier gemeinsam stärker sind. Auch wenn diese Plattform überwiegend wie ein Sumpf wirkt: Vernünftige Stimmen sind genau dann am wichtigsten. Wir können uns gegenseitig den Rücken stärken, blocken, was toxisch ist, und weiter für das einstehen, was zählt. Aussichtslos? Vielleicht. Aber Geschichte wird nicht von denen geschrieben, die früh aufgegeben haben, sondern von denen, die weitermachten, obwohl es sinnlos schien. Danke an alle, die hier so lange Haltung gezeigt haben. Und ein leises, hoffnungsvolles „Bis bald - hier.“
