Meaning: someone who's played a cell phone game for 1 hour would be counted as "a gamer." Anyone with even a basic grasp of fandoms and hobbies understands that's not how this works. If you read three pages of a comic book once, then put it down and never do it again, you're not a comic book fan. Stating otherwise would just be lying/posing. When studies and surveys look at who actually calls themselves "gamers," men overwhelmingly outnumber women in the hobby. If you hear these statistics and feel personally attacked by them, it just means you're more interested in pushing a narrative than the truth.
