@HJJ92_ I wouldn’t call one game a week until the end of the season, a huge run in. But you’ll know the frailties of the squad better than I. I’ll be backing Moyes to silence the doubters once again, but will be sad to see a lad so ready for game time do nothing until next season.

@HJJ92_ I think pressure from fans and, I’m sure, plenty in the club, played a part. The yearning to see a young home grown star come in and flourish in difficult circumstances. You has plenty coming back in & it was obvious Moyes would bench him within a fortnight

@_jnr93 I think we quickly saw how his relentless aggression & quality on the ball just allowed our whole midfield to function. After he left, teams began to more easily mark Dobbin & Devine out of games & Whiteman’s forward play took a massive hit. Who knows, though

@fulljonnynelson Yeah I get it I just refuse to believe one player can have that much of an influence. Still had it in us to be up there without him imo

@HJJ92_ I don’t think anyone disagrees with the decision to bring him back for a few weeks, but keeping him on the last day was foolish. An emotional call rather than a logical one.

@fulljonnynelson We had a severe injury crisis in January, we had no choice to recall him. The decision was right

@_jnr93 Our drop off in general was no joke, but he knitted our team together imo. I expect we’d still be in the chase now, if little else

@fulljonnynelson Agree, he played his way into the team then disappeared. I think if the window was another two weeks later, he would’ve returned. Think he gets a lower Premier League loan next season

@tomp_5 I think he convinced / they convinced themselves he’d make more of an impact, but they should’ve known better with the squad they had imo. A real setback for him. We’d have hit the breaks regardless with Iverson out, but nowhere near to the same extent 🫠
