This is one of my favourite releases of the last ten years. It's a compilation from proto-opera composition in Florence from around 1570-80 (before Monteverdi!). It features composers such as Jacopo Peri, Giulio Caccini and Luca Marenzio and is masterfully performed by Pichon.

But forum threads exist in a valuable space between tweets and articles, there's less issues of visibility, and ideas don't come and go so quickly++
