I assumed Lauer bristled about his arb case and being removed from last year’s rotation because of the financial implications, but seeing as this kind of public attitude could potentially lose him a bunch of money in FA, maybe he’s just a genuine crank. Speak your mind brother.

@JohnnyGiunta_ No, but they energized the fanbase in the same way. Acting like it's not even close to equivalent is just trying to be contrarian. They were pulling 45K for a weekend against Oakland, but it wasn't a loud crowd. I was in it. Loud in big moments, but not like a playoff run crowd.

@JoshuaHowsam @JBMcAdams The entire team got outplayed, each of them individually by around 10% versus their counterparts. Sometimes the line call, sometimes the weight out of the hand, even on their 5 game winning streak there were a lot of cracks in their shot making. Too bad

@cullenoncurling We never should have sent this Homan team. They choke on the Olympics all the time. Einarsson was the right choice, look at the clutch shot she made in 10 at the Scottie’s. Keri can handle pressure, Rachel can’t

The one positive for Homan here is Tirinzoni also loses to JPN and the standings are already looking jumbly. If you can beat Tirinzoni later today, you’ll both be at 2-2 and could get the momentum needed to go on a run

fwiw I don’t think this is by any means a done deal and I think the Horgans in particular will have multiple suitors this offseason.
Returning with Epping is possible, I also think Brendan Bottcher returns to skipping and maybe there’s a fit there, and there’s others too

Team Dunstone revealing on Instagram that Jake Horgan will be their fifth at the Brier. Interesting choice given they will have an opening at the second position next year. Nothing confirmed obviously but one could imagine that is a tryout for the potential fit

JF Trépanier, my lead for as long as I can remember will also be retiring from elite curling following the Brier
10years ago, I took a chance by joining forces with a guy who had a short curling resume. We will be playing our 6th Brier together as my longest lasting teammate!
