Graduation night at Notre Dame has resulted in a new picture alongside this tweet with consumption by granddaughter & Pops of a fine Excalibur Black Knight and a pint of Murphy’s Stout from Ireland. Life can’t get better.

What’s different about baseball? “Stars” don’t influence outcomes nearly as often as QB’s or those who shoot the most. Last night both NY teams got winning hits from Rosario & Mauricio. WHO?

At one time or other last night we had a Michigan player, enjoying his SIXTH year of college basketball covering a kid who was playing high hoops a year ago. What has become of college sports at the highest level is preposterous.

WhenI listed the purchases Ryan Day made with his millions of cash I only named players that helped him win it all. For his future he also bought his starting QB from Alabama for last year and this year. Now he bought 2 of Bama’s best. Tuscaloosa North.

I graduated from Siena College. Able to broadcast their games on TV & radio over 8 years and was able to watch those young men develop relationships with alumni. Having them for dinner — taking them to Saratoga. Pedestals but small ones. Now HOW MUCH.

TRUTH (2), an all SEC center McLaughlin and a Big 12 champion QB (Howard) and becomes a genius with a purchased national championship. Fired to genius in one season. The SEC dominated college sports until NIL. No more. Everybody & everything is for sale.

(1) TRUTH. Article from local Sarasota paper — Ryan Day, on the verge of losing the best job in college football (debatable) threw a truckload of money to the best defensive player in the SEC (Downs), the best RB in the SEC (Judkins) and (cont )

The differences of the CBA & CBB is players in college get to choose where they play. The adulation is much higher, the female “companionship” higher (you haven’t failed to “make it” yet. BTW, when is the last time a starter was academically out?

By and large for the most part, big time college basketball is similar to the old CBA. Most of the players very good but most lacking the skill to reach the NBA. They can make good money while transferring about but never attain their goal.

There is no longer ANY association between D-1 athletes with their schools. It’s all about who pays the most. To call football or basketball players anything other than mercenaries would be fraudulent. I have been a huge CFB fan. OUT.

Remember pride in “being a Michigan man”. Need Michigan men. PRIDE. Wonder when it was determined the five Michigan players from last night were “Michigan men”. Did a lot of cash make them “Michigan men”? That phrase should be buried with Harbaugh.

Last night’s starting 5’s for each team — 10 players. Michigan the champion. How many of those 10 started their careers as a Wolverine? Answer — the starting center for Connecticut. Must be confusing — which alumni function do I attend?

For years there was a pretense that the football & basketball players that wore YOUR school’s laundry were STUDENTS. Pretense is gone. Hired mercenaries with zero attachment to you or your school. Interest is still there but it will wane. Has for me already.

Knicks on the road, down 97-92 with 3:25 to go & Brunson goes Superman. 14 of 16 points (OG with FT’s).

After 6% of the season the Yankees are remarkably at +24, Seattle +22 & the Braves +16. No other team is above 10. This is net walks — received vs. given. These are huge gaps. Worst the other way — the Athletics at -27, Angels -14, Cards & Nats -12.

I know Trump is hated. Understood. But to the extent that the opposing side cannot acknowledge that boys playing girls sports, an unchecked border, only American citizens can vote, illegal criminal elements being evacuated. 80-20 issues

After 9 games the Yankees have received 46 walks, behind Houston & Milwaukee. They have issued 22, one more than Atlanta & Seattle. That’s how you win — don’t beat yourself, and let the other team do just that.

Arizona got whipped by Michigan and there was an obvious lack of effort by at least two players. Dell’Orso was a spectator and Burries got beat cleanly on straight line drives to the basket. Talent but that’s a culture problem.

Huge fan of effort. Watched the Jacquez become a first rounder to the Heat Basd more on effort than talent. His sister was the key all around player for UCLA yesterday. My kind of players.

Michigan won in football with a very old team thanks to COVID & the NCAA becoming toothless. Their basketball team is made up predominantly by older transfers. The gals of UCLA won with every point scored yesterday by seniors. Old is better.
