He is just a fool. You people should sha be mindful of whom you marry. Your wife is the victim here. She was captured and raped, and your only retort is that, you can't save her and you'll marry because she has been violated. Did she consent to be violated? Whatever affects your partner is supposed to affect you. As a man, you should be willing to sacrifice your life to save your wife and kids. Does he even understand it is a human being he is married to, not bad goat? God abeg

Something about Nigerian and South African women when it comes to academic achievements. That thread has almost the same equal amount of women from both nations.

I watched a video of a guy who moved back to Nigeria after 7 years in Canada. He came here for school. His dad di3d. He had no one to pay his fees. His siblings watched him drop out and struggle for 7 years without helping once. He tried everything to stay. The immigration process broke him. He said his first week back in Nigeria was the easiest his life had been in 7 years. We talk a lot about going abroad. We do not talk enough about the people it breaks along the way.

This year has been good so far in terms of research. I had reasons to feel bad, but when I counted a few of the wins, I realised I had every reason to strengthen my resolve. I have published three papers, written and submitted my first perspective review, written my first systematic review, and successfully submitted it to PROSPERO. I also completed my first scoping review in an emerging area, started a PhD in Medical-Surgical Nursing, received four acceptances so far, three of them in Scopus-indexed journals, and submitted seven papers to Scopus-indexed journals. I am also leading a viral immunology research team with a vaccine prospect, alongside an awesome student and other brilliant collaborators. These are some of the reasons I have not been very active here in the last two weeks. Alongside the academic demands, I have also had to deal with some personal and family health challenges. The body forced me to slow down, and honestly, it is refusing to boot as fast I would like. Sometimes, the review and publication process can be quite tedious, but we keep moving.

The expectation Nigerian males have of a woman coming to visit them for the first time and cooking for him to prove she is wife material, they don’t have it for white women btw. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

When I was traveling back to the US, I got to the airport much earlier than usual. I didn’t put a padlock on my bag because airport staff often ask for it to be opened for inspection, so my plan was to lock it after the search was completed. But my bag wasn't inspectedcted. I guess much has changed. But I completely forgot to put the padlock back on before traveling to the US. I was freaking out the entire trip because I had some expensive items in it. I was worried the whole way due to past experiences. As soon as I got home, the first thing I did was check my bag to make sure everything was still there. Thankfully, everything was accounted for. My bag made it all the way from Nigeria to the US without a padlock. I was beyond shocked. At some point, I honestly accepted it and thought, “I guess it is what it is,” while quietly blaming myself for being so forgetful. I had already prepared myself for the worst. I just want to sincerely thank every honest Nigerian out there trying to make an honest living. People like you restore faith in humanity in ways words can’t fully explain. Thank you for everything you do. May God continue to bless you and ease your affairs in every way possible.

for every misandrist, there are thousands of women eager to carry water for the patriarchy, and that's why i find people who say "feminism has gone too far" particularly foolish. feminism hasn't gone nearly as far as it can go. women aren't nearly as angry as they should be.

Hi women, can you post pictures or talk about your academic achievements? I need some motivation this month. If you see this tweet, share it so women can see it.

Went to buy my usual pepper and tomatoes today and immediately noticed how small the quantity was. I had to increase my budget and asked the seller to add more because what I was getting for the same money made no sense. Only to get home and open Instagram to see your president saying the economy has recovered, agriculture is booming, and food is now everywhere. These guys live in an alternate universe

Quick story. When I was in secondary school, the HOD of sciences was a woman and she was really strict(to the teachers under her and to the students.) Well, one time, a male teacher who happened to be my group manager was suspended for a term without salary. I couldn't imagine what he had done to get such a heavy punishment so I told my mummy to ask him since she was a parent and she had built a rapport with my teachers over the years. Ladies and gentlemen, that man got suspended because he insulted his HOD, called her stupid and told her that "I'm a family man so you cannot be ordering me around". Trust the woman to take it up. She pushed until they suspended him. And I'm proud of her for doing that

Nothing disgusts me more than a broke polygamous man. You can’t even afford your children’s basic needs , but you’re actively looking for a 4th wife? 🤦 Absurd!!!!!!!!
