@hyperfixatednya @Veronicatrash13 I understand that. But what I mean, even in the show’s context while Svetlana’s role was changed, Ilya’s arc wasn’t really adapted to reflect that show!Ilya has more actually more support than book!Ilya. Like his spirals still happen the same way as in the book.

@hyperfixatednya @Veronicatrash13 I think it’s time partially bc book Svetlana is different. So while her role was changed in the show, the rest of the book was adapted without those major changes so Ilya’s emotional anchor is still Shane and his dynamic with Svetlana is not that well embedded in the narrative
