contrary to popular belief, while this may work in rare cases, statistics show that men who commit violent crimes towards women usually *do* target the polite/quiet ones because in they are seen as less likely to resist. so in other words: be loud, it’s a weirdo’s worst nightmare.

Sometimes male anger at ‘women getting special treatment’ reminds me of a gorilla experiment. One gorilla gets a banana every hour. The females next to him get one every four hours. Then someone decides to be fairer and gives the females a banana every two hours instead. The original gorilla? He flips out. He's still getting his banana every hour, but it feels like a loss because his advantage shrank. That's how a lot of men react to basic fairness for women: not as justice, but as theft.

Men don't read female authors because they don't care about our perspective, our ideas, our stories, or us. Simple. They don't respect our work; many of them flat out deny it even exists, so they can argue women are useless and contribute nothing to society except children.

This is so dumb. Male animals don't want to reproduce, they want to fuck. Not much different from men. Meanwhile, females in many species do NOT want to be fucked, actively try to escape it, and are raped by males. Reproducing is not a choice for them. They have no contraception.

If women left the workforce they would be economically dependent on men again, which means they would have to go back to being treated however men decided to treat them with no way to escape it. Men who hate that women have options don’t plan on treating women well.
