Customer stories ftw. Hello! The new Igloo cooler that I borrowed had a serious adventure this last weekend. We were camping in Falcon Lake, MB, which is a very large and popular campsite and town, so wildlife (like black bears) generally sticks to the less busy areas of the park. Not last weekend however! I woke in the middle of the night to a clatter and stumbled half awake out of my tent, only to see garbage strewn around the site. As I cleaned up, I noticed the Igloo cooler had been dragged 20 feet out of my dining tent and towards the bush. Upon further inspection I noticed that it endured a lot while we slept, likely because it contained our breakfast bacon and other tasty meat. The marks on this cooler became campfire conversation the next night and we had a lot of laughs and debates about the animal (or THING haha) that made these marks and the backstories behind it. I’m very impressed it withstood the bear and everything was protected! As the cooler is damaged now, I do feel duty driven to get a new one for the person who I borrowed it from, but I can’t say I’m too disappointed because it really is a very good cooler that kept my stuff cold from Friday morning to Monday afternoon.
