I strongly believe that, when properly implemented and trained, AI could provide instantaneous advice during emergencies—situations where cockpit alarms can become overwhelming and reaction times are critical. By providing rapid guidance, AI could significantly reduce or even eliminate the risk of catastrophic accidents. AI can retain several orders of magnitude more information about what could go wrong. An airplane is a highly complex system, and if you have watched episodes of Mayday or read NTSB reports on air disasters, you can gain insight into how pilots think—and how they can sometimes miss solutions when time is critical. Of course, pilots have checklists, but there are many situations where checklists prove insufficient. They simply cannot cover every possible scenario, especially under severe time pressure. In such moments, relying solely on checklists may not be enough. #AVIATION #NTSB #AI #Boeing #Airbus A well-trained AI could provide tremendous support in these emergency situations, in my opinion. It could be trained on a wide range of emergencies and failure modes using simulators tailored to specific aircraft types—and, importantly, it could be rigorously tested. NTSB reports on air disasters and accidents are also an invaluable source of training data.

I’m not sure of the specifics here but I do know we’re living in a time where people don’t get “punched in the mouth” enough for things they say. If people understood that they can get “punched in the mouth” then they would be more thoughtful with their words and respect would reign supreme throughout all of humanity.
