@OtisburgCoC @17straight_17 @DocMartinez2013 @SNAFU_Sara mine was DTLA lmao. Felt safer in Afghanistan than LA
English

@17straight_17 @DocMartinez2013 @SNAFU_Sara In almost two decades the only place I was afraid for my life in uniform was Afghanistan
English

We change out of uniform before driving home because we are targets. But I don’t see CNN reporting that.

BREAKING: Afghans in America are now living in fear, per CNN.

@MUSTDIEmusic @INF1N1TEMUSIC I really agree with this sentiment, but what’s the alternative for smaller artists trying to come up in the scene? I’d love to never have to make content and just focus on making tunes and playing shows but it seems like those days are past us now lol
English

@INF1N1TEMUSIC Idk man maybe musicians should have to be good at making music not making short form slop and people should collectively reward being good at music instead of being good at slop
Youre doing the work of corpos for them rn dog
English

@MUSTDIEmusic i just appreciate you continue to stand on business regardless
English

@ionic_techno It’s not my favorite part of my otherwise very decent life lol

Every year we have to deal with people like this.
I was working at 140 west st. The plane flew directly over us and into the tower.
Do the math… Math don’t lie
Based on official analyses (including from
NIST and NTSB reports), the relevant parameters at impact were approximately as follows:
• AA11: Mass ~ 129,000 kg; impact speed ~ 211 m/s (= 470 mph).
• UA175: Mass = 111,000 kg; impact speed ~ 262 m/s (= 590 mph).
The destructive energy at impact comes from
1 the planes' kinetic energy, KE = =mv?, which
2 was dissipated as the aircraft deformed, fragmented, and transferred momentum to the structures. This is the "energy equivalence" relevant to the collision.
• AA11: KE =12× 129,000 × 2112 = 2.86 × 109 j
(= 0.68 tons of TNT).
• UA175:KE =2× 111,000 × 2627 - 3.81 × 10° j
(= 0.91 tons of TNT).
• Total for both: ~ 6.7 × 10° J (= 1.6 tons of TNT).
Then calculate Force Impact:
• AA11 momentum:
р = 129,000 × 211 = 2.72 × 10° kg•m/s.
Favg = 2.72 × 107/0.2 = 1.36 × 108 N (=
13,900 metric tons-force).
• UA175 momentum:
= 111,000 × 262 = 2.91 × 10° kg-m/s.
Favg = 2.91 × 107/0.2 = 1.46 x 108 N (
14,900 metric tons-force).
To arrive at this: Multiply mass by velocity for p, then divide by At. Peak forces were likely 2-5x higher (up to = 5-7 × 10^8 N locally), concentrated on the exterior columns
(severing = 35-40 per plane). This equates to
the dynamic equivalent of dropping = 14,000
tons from 1 m height, but applied horizontally over milliseconds-enough to slice through the steel perimeter but not the core columns directly.

Does everyone remember back in December of 2024 when a South Korean 737 (17) with 179 people (17) on board was shown belly landing and crashing into a concrete wall?
This is a slower flight and hitting less concrete and steel than what was present in the Twin Towers on 9/11.
THIS Is what would happen to a plane if it hit the side of a steel exoskeleton tower with concrete flooring.....

Amidst all the serum2 madness and experimentalism it’s so good to stumble upon the @NotionDJ remix of The Days (yes i’m late but what a gddamn TUNE!) it reminds that a good track does not need groundbreaking or gamechanging sound design, it just needs to tell something, to FLOW.

@kenmacallister @niccruzpatane The combustion of hydrocarbons (like diesel and gasoline) is a reaction that requires the fuel and O2 and gives CO2 and H20.. basically what happens is too much fuel gets added to the reaction and there isn’t enough O2 to fully react. the black is just extra Carbon
English

@niccruzpatane I have never understood how that works- how do you make a gas car switch from nearly transparent tailpipe emissions to billowing black smoke in an instant like that? Is that a special modification or something?
English

@Lotito609Daniel @hodgetwins nah man we need to quit fucking with that region. doing shit like this is what led to 9/11 and then we were stuck over there for 20 years..
English

@hodgetwins Usually, I agree with everything you say, but we’re not going to war with Iran. Mark Rubio already made it very clear no boots on ground. We can do everything by drone and still get what we want. This shit ain’t gonna stop and someone’s gotta take the risk and I’m glad Trump is
