Not many things to be happy about last night, but I have to say I’m glad to see Gavi play 45 minutes of football, and not just a normal 45 minutes, but in a very intense UCL knockout game where we were down to 10 men and needed extra intensity and physical work from everyone. It’s clear that this time his comeback will be quicker. And the best part is that Gavi delivered at that level, at no point did he look tired or drop his intensity. His off-ball work was insane, he was everywhere covering for everyone. Replacing Pedri’s role on the ball is an unrealistic task but Gavi did the best he could given the circumstances, and honestly we can’t ask for more
