For those who still care about us the situation here has become an unbearable hell. Rats and rodents are invading the tents mercilessly, taking over every corner. Families can no longer sleep, spending the night watching their children in terror, fearing these small beasts will attack them. The worst I heard among the tents: a huge rat entered the tent of an elderly man suffering from diabetes and began eating his foot without him noticing… a story that filled me with a fear and horror I had never felt before. The rats didn’t stop there they have started eating our food supplies, threatening our very survival and adding to our daily suffering. Children and women here live as if trapped in a constant nightmare. The garbage keeps piling up, the rodents multiply uncontrollably, all because of the blockade and the prevention of rubble removal. The tents are torn and dilapidated, insects and scorpions enter without restriction, and the large rats roam as if they are kings in this hell. Where is the world from all this horror? How can humans be left in such a situation? Here, death, hunger, disease, and fear are daily, and we all live on the edge of terror.

I've taught European history for 30 years. Americans have always asked me how the Holocaust was possible, how Germans could have enabled a madman reveling in mass murder to carry out his plans. Now we can see in real time how this is enabled; now we have front-row seats.

Absolute horror on Al Jazeera. Live footage confirms the US and Israel are actively following through on threats to bomb civilian railway lines in Iran. Rescue workers are desperately pulling innocent commuters from the wreckage. These war crimes are sickening.

General Dan Caine stood at the podium, voice cracking just a little, and dropped the line like a bad punchline: “Every Iranian who had a small gun was shooting at us.” Imagine that. Back home in America they worship guns. They got more firearms than people. Kids grow up on them. Hollywood makes blockbusters where one guy with a pistol saves the world from terrorists. Second Amendment is basically a religion. “Come and take it,” they yell from their pickup trucks. Then they fly into Iran to “rescue” their pilots after their fancy F-15 gets knocked out of the sky. Black Hawks buzzing low over the hills like it’s just another video game mission. And what do the Iranians do? The nomads. The farmers. The regular guys who own one old hunting rifle for wild boars. They look up, grab whatever shoots, and start blasting away at the most advanced military on earth. A dad and his little daughter popping rounds at the helicopters while she cheers him on. No training. No orders from Tehran. Just pure “this is my sky, get the hell out.” The greatest gun-loving nation on the planet shows up with its trillion-dollar toys… and suddenly starts crying because the locals finally used guns the way America always says guns are meant to be used: to defend your own land against invaders. Poor General Caine. All that freedom training, all those John Wayne movies, and the moment someone else actually defends their home with a rifle, it becomes a national tragedy. The same America that sells AR-15s at Walmart like candy suddenly acts shocked when brown people with small guns say “no thanks” to liberation by Hellfire missile. It’s almost poetic. They love guns until the wrong people start loving them back. Then they call it terrorism. Laugh. Cry. Your choice. The joke is on all of you.

Iran in Japan/ 駐日イラン大使館
Let the world ask: what is the course of conduct that Iran is expected to change? 🔹Did Iran attack a negotiating partner only one day after the mediator reported a high probability of a successful diplomatic outcome? 🔹Is Iran targeting your civilians and infrastructure, or threatening to strike your power plants and bridges? Did Iran attack your universities, your Pasteur Institute, your petrochemical complexes, or your steel industry? 🔹Did Iran destabilize global energy and economic markets through repeated escalations in a region already suffering from your war of aggression? 🔹Did Iran "bomb the diplomatic table" just as a favorable result was within reach in June 2025? 🔹Was it Iran that scrapped the multilateral agreement known as the JCPOA in 2018, after three years of successful implementation during which Iran was the most compliant party? 🔹Did Iran impose unilateral—and thus illegal—"maximum pressure" sanctions to coerce a nation by squeezing the daily lives of its people? 🔹Did Iran facilitated and accomodated the genocide in Gaza and the brutal massacre of over 70,000 Gazans? Did Iran coerce the ICC and its judges regarding the arrest warrant they issued? And a lot more. Who, then, truly needs to change their course of conduct?
Rapid Response 47@RapidResponse47

"I hope they make the right response," says @VP on Iran. "They've got to know, we've got tools in our toolkit that we so far haven't decided to use. @POTUS can decide to use them, and he will decide to use them if the Iranians don't change their course of conduct."

Interestingly, in 2021 WB election the TMC Lead the BJP by ~60.6 lakh votes. In 2024 gen election this figure was ~42.4 lakh. Now, just yesterday, after the SC refused to accept a plea to extend the time before the electoral lists were frozen at midnight, the ECI released its final sup list. Of the 60,06,675 names under adjudication 54.4% names now deleted i.e. 32,68,119. 60 lakh names had already been deleted. Adding this, the total deletions now stand at 90 lakh. A fall of 11.62%. Earlier, the voter number was 7.66 crore. Now reduced to 6.77 crore. 2024 Gen Election was valid? But from the Supreme Court to India’s political discourse, no one gives a shit about this travesty of democracy. Even if 10% of the names are wrongly deleted, the number climbs to 9 lakh. And the future will again and again repeat that they were denied the time to prove their legitimate rights to vote. Few days back @_YogendraYadav said the story of the SIR in West Bengal is a story of the Election Commission’s desperate attempts at mass deletion of voters inconvenient to the BJP. Now the mission is accomplished. ECI’s past slogans like “Every Vote Counts” and “No Voter to be Left Behind” are now somewhere in the dustbin. Thanks to the Supreme Court. Thanks to the ECI. Thanks to the whole system that built & propagated that hoax of “Ghuspetiya”. The future will remember each one of your roles. ⚫ For those cowbelt clowns now in celebration mood thinking Bangladeshi Muslims are excluded and Hindus spared - in terms of percentage, the most number of voters now stand deleted in Matua-dominated Nadia (77.86%). Thanx.

MIT *is* a proud 'pipeline for missile, cyber, and dual-use military programs'. But if you disrupt or target MIT, then ooh noo you've desecrated a sanctuary of 'fundamental' research! Meanwhile Iran's universities are open-season to the F-35s. The double standards of empire.

I will say it again: Gaza was a test. A deliberate experiment to see how much horror the world could stomach before it dared to act. And the West failed the test and exposed itself. Every hollow speech, every calculated silence, every shameless act of complicity ripped the mask off a civilization that never truly believed in the values it preached. We all failed Gaza. Completely.. And the world that emerges from this will be darker than the one before it. It’s only downhill from here

Per the Lebanese MOH, Israeli attacks have killed 1,497 civilians in Lebanon. They are not being killed in ‘clashes.’ They are being killed by Israeli airstrikes and drone strikes that take place away from the battlefield. Men, women, children, journalists, and paramedics are being murdered every day. Do better, Reuters. What they are doing in this video is civilian home demolition; they go into a neighborhood, rig homes with C4 and then detonate. I have watched them do this multiple times. Call it what it is. A war crime.

Ghoncheh Habibiazad has responded to why she included a supposed quote from an "Iranian" who said he wants Iran to be "levelled" and nuked, then removed the quote after I pointed it out. She blocked me, which violates BBC social media policy. This is career-ending journalistic malpractice. The BBC must immediately fire her for failing to uphold the most minimal, basic journalistic standards.

holy shit, the BBC just edited the passage from their anonymous "Iranian source" and removed the begging for being left without electricity, water and being nuked to death. So they admitted to fabricating the quote without any formal correction. This is utterly insane

Update: we finished the meeting with @SecretaryMEITY wherein they just treated this meeting today treating as a compliance exercise with no intent to explain or answer questions we have raised. I told Mr. Krishnan that the governments intent behind the IT Rules consultation is evident in the impact they are having - of mass censorship. This is an infrastructure for mass censorship. I raised the following issues, which were not addressed by Mr. Krishnan: 1. No transparency or accountability in takedown/blocking actions. Ministry not responsive to RTI requests. The current rules also do not have provisions for transparency. 2. MEITY needs to explain why around 31 instances of blocking and takedowns that I have emailed them about, and about 70 odd questions that I have sent them need to be addressed. Link in the next tweet.👇 3. The changes to the IT Rules mirror the withdrawn Broadcast Bill, with same intent, different form 4. Inter Departmental Committee mirrors the Fact Check unit, reviving what the Bombay High Court struck down. 5. Pre-legislative consultation policy mandates 30 days. This consultation was only 15 days 6. Previous rules had a 10-day implementation timeline, which is insufficient for implementation 7. All takedown orders are now like emergency orders, with 3 hour takedowns. There is no application of mind on whether content is actually illegal or harmful. Everything is taken down as emergency. 8. No accountability mechanism for citizens whose accounts or posts are removed 9. Regulatory changes are outpacing judicial review. 10. This is part of a cumulative censorship framework built since the 2021 IT Rules 11. The current Rules need to be withdrawn, and the infrastructure for censorship needs to be dismantled. 12. There should be no surprise additions to these rules -- in the last consultation, they added a whole new takedown provision which had not been consulted upon. I also pointed out that my comments at this meeting, and my emails should be available under RTI, because there needs to be transparency, even if the Ministry is avoiding this.
