I love the Ryan Conwell pick for the Heat. After getting Giannis, Miami badly needs shot creation in the backcourt. Conwell's combo style reminds me so much of Norm Powell, so it's pretty funny he could end up being the guy that replaces him if Powell leaves.
Conwell hit 41% of his catch-and-shoot 3s on 5.3 attempts per game. He has a smooth, lefty stroke with deep range. Many of his shots come after sprinting off screens, where he must catch the ball, elevate, and contort his body midair while a defender is draped all over him. Unsurprisingly, he can also stroke jumpers off the dribble: He made only 32% of those, but given the degree of difficulty it’s a forgivable percentage.

Rich Paul says the Heat roster will look totally different by the time the season starts:
“Bobby Portis can really shoot…. One other thing you’re getting, you’re getting Pros. Giannis and Bobby Portis, people talk about ‘Heat Culture’, they don’t need it. These are adults going into a locker room with the understanding of what this is all about.
This team could look totally different. There’s a lot of work to be done. The one good thing about Miami is, when you talk about back filling a roster with minimums, who don’t want to go to Miami on a minimum?”

Tim Legler loves the Bam and Giannis duo in Miami:
“They’re in the mix. Talk about dominating the paint on both ends, every night. With what these two guys are going to give you, on a bad night let’s pencil in 45. On a good night let’s get close to 60, a lot of that is done in the paint. Defensively, the versatility that they both have, the ground they cover, the number of guys they can both guard…. If they somehow keep Powell and Wiggins with Bam and Antetokounmpo, forget it. That team is right there at the top of the eastern conference”

Chris Broussard says it's VERY LIKELY Giannis ends up regretting going to Miami:
"Unfortunately, I think it's very high. I don't think he's going to win a championship there..... If it doesn't workout in Miami and you know you could've went to Boston. He could've been competing for a championship this year, and really the rest of his prime... I do think he will regret this because I don't see Miami in the near future even having the tools to improve their team"

The way Spoelstra puts his players in the position to win… Get a guy like a Gabe Vincent, Tim Hardaway, or a guy like Anfernee Simons to buy in off that big contract, take the MLE, or Vet min on a team with Giannis and Bam Marcus: Defensively they’ll be a juggernaut.
