@AMurphy74229 Nowhere near enough. And you're confusing derelict houses with vacant. I'm talking about landlords leaving houses vacant because no one will pay the asking price for rent or millionaires owning spare homes they use for holidays.

@JakeFitzsimons You obviously don't know what ur talking about, the 1000s of vacant homes are in v poor repair, some not much more than ruins. I work in every county in Irl and am looking at these every day. I will say in the last 6 months quite a few,are being restored, by ordinary ppl.

State construction company with properly revived state training programs. Stripping of property from landlords and wealthy elites to redistribute. Bring in some specialised workers on very short term visas with no additional perks included. I won't really entertain your argument much because it's circulatory. We need more workers to build houses but of course we need houses to put them which means we need more construction which means...etc.

This huge complex being built in Dublin currently and according to locals, no one resident in the area is being given any of the employment spots. No apprenticeships going even. Foreign builders make up most if not all. Wasted chance at employment growth to the area.

@JakeFitzsimons Back in 2020 we ended up driving into a ghetto between Blanch & Finglas full of caravans & shanty huts full of foreign workers all working on the so called NCH.Never saw place like it before or since, like something out Mad Max.Foreign workers building housing for foreigners!🤮👺
