Isaiah does not talk about the resurrection. In Isaiah 25:8 he talks about death being defeated,“He will swallow up death in victory…” which is as close to Easter as he gets. He graphically describes the crucifixion in Isaiah 53 describing the gruesome death of Jesus even though crucifixion had not been invented at the time Isaiah wrote it. Isaiah 11:11 speaks of The Messiah as the focal point through whom God restores and unifies His people, especially by reuniting Israel and Judah, while also drawing the nations. The verse you’re referring to: Isaiah 11:10-13 specifically talks about Jesus, the Messiah, as the “root of Jesse”. It is a unifying verse. 10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. 11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. 12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

Hegseth announces automatic registration for US military draft to begin in December. Any immigrant who doesn't register within 30 days of turning 18 can be criminally charged. While absurd, practically speaking all this does is show MAGA hypocrisy. Somehow automatic voter registration isn’t possible—but automatic registration for the draft program is both possible and now required. MAGAs don't want to make it easier for young people to vote—just easier for them to die in Trump's illegal wars.

First of all the sons of Jacob lived between 1700 and 1900 years before Jesus even was born. And Easter didn’t even exist until Jesus’ resurrection. The resurrection IS Easter. How could someone be forbidden from something that didn’t exist? Just an FYI, the resurrection is the entire basis for Christianity. The Last Supper gave us communion but the Resurrection gave us Christianity.

It’s now day 39 of Trump’s illegal regional war that has had deadly and catastrophic consequences. There has been no clear plan or rationale, no strategy, and no Congressional authorization or input as required by the Constitution. Thousands of civilians have been tragically killed across the region, American servicemembers have died and suffered unnecessarily, and millions are displaced from Lebanon to the Gulf. Trump and Pete Hegseth have already committed explicit war crimes by bombing schools, hospitals, bridges, and water desalination plants. This isn’t partisan. Republicans, Democrats, and Independents now know that Trump is dangerous and unfit. Whether through impeachment or by invoking the 25th Amendment, it is far past time Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth are removed from office.
