Sometimes people overanalyze the game. They use analytics and talk about schemes, Xs and Os, but the fact remains: you still have to put the ball in the basket. Illinois didn’t do that tonight from three (6–26). That will not get it done. Great ride. #Illini

@KedPrince4 I do think the 6-26 for 3-points was not good but I know that the Illini to win goes to the net. If they just went down inside Tomi and David. They would have fouled out their two bigs and I see Tomi with 25 points and 12 rebounds and Davis with 15-10.

@wischlist You know, the referees were horrible but this game was that Illini had three players doing their job and the other five were not good.

The Illini had opportunities all game long. Just did not hit enough shots.

Happy 70th birthday to Tommy Herr, who batted .302 with 110 RBIs (despite just 8 home runs) in 1985, finishing 5th in the NL MVP voting. When he retired in 1991, he had the best career fielding percentage ever for a National League second baseman.

Do you think Sophie Cunningham is sending a message? Has someone asked her to? That last look tells me yes!

Wow, this is ridiculous for South Carolina vs Connecticut. The 3 referees should be fired out for never. It was for both teams and sad to see that the game was ugly.

@The_Ryan_Shull Pages does nothing - can't hit and are not a great catcher. Someone likes him, but we don't.

@STL_Stats_Facts Why won't STL fix it to get home runs. Almost every team moves down for bombs but we will not do it.

@iam_johnw You might want to open your eyes. You hit his left arm and right hand and pushed his back. And #24 grabbed his hand. Geez, that's not a foul!!!
