Draymond Green says basketball is no longer a poor kid's game: “It's a rich kid's game” “I didn't learn how to do a proper individual workout till I got to college. Growing up I'm going to hoop. Where's the nearest run. Drop me off, I'll play all day. That's what we did. We hooped all day. I think there's a huge benefit to that because you just learn to see the game” “It's different when somebody just putting you in a position to tell you to do this move. How do you use your creativity? How do you learn if somebody just say do this? How do you know what your game is if you never tap into it and just figure it out” “I think there's a time and place for a trainer and I think with where the game has gone, you need those resources in order to be successful” “I feel like basketball used to be a poor man's game. Poor kids played it. We were poor. We had nothing and it was our way out. Basketball is not a poor kid's game no more. Basketball is a rich kid game” “The days of seeing LeBron James from Akron, Ohio, from a single mom, those days are numbered. Because if you don't have the resources these days, you can't make it. But that’s also why you don't see as great basketball as you did before, because there's no imagination” “Everybody's doing the same thing, playing the same way. I think a lot of that is due sometimes to having trainers. You just become a carbon copy of somebody else the trainer created”

@kenswift @Ser_Dweeb Glad to see this post. Kelsey is a scorer. CC cannot be the only scorer. Even if she drops 30-40 per night, you can’t win without other scorers. Let Kelz do what she’s great at and stop the crazy crits. Also, SW’s offense is 👎 👎 for this team

I’m with @Ser_Dweeb on this one. Kelz was left out of the offense almost this whole game, helped bring us back, and I’m seeing people post a turnover of hers like she’s supposed to be perfect. If Kelsey leaves next season, I’m not sure who they think we will get that will play flawless basketball.
Krysta 🤫🦜@FeverBallUp2

Bro Michael this view is incredibly narrowminded and factual incorrect‼️ Like please be so for real right now, the only PERSON weather that be a player or HC that has been consistently criticized & scrutinized this season & given ZERO grace by CCFC,Fever FC, haters & the media is Caitlin Clark- ‼️

After months of digging, scrolling, screenshotting, zooming, enhancing, and probably microfiche-ing themselves into carpal tunnel, the House Defendant fan club has finally uncovered the smoking gun At 18 years old, I made a joke about going to Canada if there was a draft. That’s it. No drunk driving crash like Chris No dead victim like chris No six months in jail like chris No “oops, I killed someone and Canton moved on.” Just teenage me in a college article making a dumb joke while playing foosball. Honestly, this is devastating. I may never recover from the public learning that in 1990 I was… a sarcastic hockey player. Meanwhile, the same people clutching pearls over a 34-year-old draft joke are somehow totally fine with actual Canton public-record history that involved alcohol, a vehicle, a death, and jail time. They are ok with their RACIST friends Goode and Proctor and Johnson, and foley, and Meg Kennedys husband. But sure, let’s talk about my foosball-era foreign policy. Next week they’ll expose that I once drank purple passion, zima, and wore a starter jacket. The investigation continues...

Colin Albert: enlists to serve his nation. Jon Comeau - vows to head for Canada at the mere suggestion of a draft. Starting to see his problem with and obsession with then teen Colin.

Someone mentioned the Stephanie White offensive system and if you watch you can clearly see there is no system lol. It’s the “somebody get us a bucket” system.

Today I needed to step away from the noise and recenter myself for what lies ahead. I didn’t listen to any streams or read court filings. I spent time in silence at the Abbey of Gethsemani. While I was there, I had the chance to visit with a 90-year-old monk — a quiet, meaningful conversation. As I was leaving, I started responding to the many questions about my caregiver situation and ended up on the phone for the next 3–4 hours on that issue. I don’t have any firm commitments yet, but I’m holding onto hope as there are some looking for a way to help. We’ll see what tomorrow brings. Thank you all for the support you’ve shown me. It means more than I can say. ❤️

It’s clear the defensive game plan when guarding Caitlin Clark is to hand check her & take away freedom of movement from her with the hope the refs wont call it enough to make it a negative. Instead of enforcing the rules the refs let it happen most games . @WNBA @CathyEngelbert

NO, this does not happen all the time. That is the lazy excuse people use when they want to normalize dysfunction. As someone who has been an athlete and lived through uncomfortable team moments, I understand that emotions run hot in competition. I understand hard coaching. I understand tense benches, heated huddles, frustration, accountability, and the pressure of trying to win when everything feels like it is going sideways. But there is a difference between intensity and dysfunction. There is a difference between coaching hard and creating a public fracture. And there is a difference between a tough moment that builds trust and one that makes everyone watching wonder whether the relationship is cracking. But that does not make it healthy. It does not make it good leadership. And it does not mean fans have to pretend they did not see what they saw. If that exchange happened in a workplace, nobody would call it “normal management.” If it happened in a classroom, nobody would call it “teaching.” If it happened in a family, nobody would call it “communication.” But because it happened in sports, everyone rushes to say: “It happens all the time.” Maybe that is the problem. No one is saying Coach White cannot coach Caitlin hard. No one is saying competitive people never clash. No one is saying every sideline disagreement is a crisis. But “this happens all the time” is not always a defense. Sometimes it is the warning sign. Caitlin Clark is already carrying more pressure, scrutiny, criticism, physicality, and expectation than any young player in the league. Too often, she looks like she is standing on an island. She takes the hits. She takes the bad whistles. She takes the media nitpicking. She takes the pressure. She takes the high road. Then when visible tension spills over, everyone tells fans not to believe their own eyes. That is not leadership. Leadership is not just saying “we have each other’s backs.” Leadership is proving it. If Indiana truly has Caitlin’s back, show it. Fight for her. Protect her. Praise her. Challenge bad calls. Stop letting the most important player in the league look like she is carrying the burden alone. Because normalizing dysfunction does not make it disappear. It only makes it easier to excuse the next time.

I honestly think that Caitlin Clark played decent defense vs Portland. She had no help from any bigs in the paint. That’s coaching. Those fouls against don’t really look like fouls. 3 of them looked weak to me. Plus she wasn’t getting same consideration on her offense when she was getting fouled .

Pay attention to what the aces do who also have weak on ball defenders , Chelsey gray , Jewel Lloyd, & nalyssa smith . Here Chelsea is over playing the ball handlers left hand filtering her towards Aja Wilson the rim protector. We have AB but a dumb coach who don’t do this

@audrawrongspeak Exactly! We didn’t buy it and in fact, have functional rooms in our 3/2. A sleeping room where all the beds are, a play room where all the kids toys are, and a creative room where our desks, tech, art supplies, books, etc. are 😁 Love to see you challenging this!

I’m not entirely keen on this idea that kids need their own rooms. When they become adults they’ll have roommates either in the college dorm, or when they move out. When they get married they’ll share a room. My mom shared a room with her sibling. What’s the big deal?
