Appropriately, our consultation submission has been received like a rocket. Reminds me of the #moonshot analogy in my initial blog proposing a health equity target.

Amid the prep for Starmer's speech on Thursday, No10 should consider how other governments have embedded health & wellbeing as a cross-government mission - using targets, accountability and action plans.

As part of a comprehensive strategy, accompanied by investment, health equity targets did help reverse a long-term trend in widening inequality in the 2000s.

The PM is set to announce a new set of short-term targets to back up his 5 missions. But NHS access targets alone will not deliver national renewal. While it's not a quick-win, he needs to keep his eye on the bigger prize. health.org.uk/news-and-comme… (2021)

If, as you, say, Andrew speaks up for the community, why has he refused to meet with #ThereForME? Why has he failed to make Covid booster vaccines available for all? Why is he keeping Jenny Harries in charge of the UKHSA? Why is he doing nothing to stop the spread of Covid and #LongCovid? Why isn't he calling for Clean Indoor Air? Why isn't he calling for research into Long Covid or asking the NHS to license repurposed drugs as China has been doing since 2022?

@joefd @GwynneMP @EmmaLewellBuck This is total nonsense. @GwynneMP is the Minister For Public Health who completely ignores and gaslights the millions of people disabled with #LongCovid and #MECFS. It's just pointless wordsalad. Not a single member of Parliament cares enough about the disabled to speak for us.
