In the quest to include Edward in the book writing process as much as possible, I did some editing at the same table he was drawing at. It was quite moving to read about the pain of his birth, with him right there… kissing my hand. #ThyTenderCare

@JoelRenkema Also anecdotal... but the number of people in the CRC in Calgary today is roughly 1/2 of the what the number was this time last year (let alone all of the young families and young adults that left long before Synod's gambit).

I’m not sure what my denominational boomer ‘rate’ is (too small to poll) but I’m sure it won’t be pretty.

Every time I see Edward’s marker bucket I’m reminded of the time Fran and I were literally kids in a candy shop in Times Square. We bought a big bag at 4:00 pm… and then went back for another at 10:30 pm!
