@Muffty2023 @NidgeHattersSK And you know what I meant by it. Buy your kids as much as you want for Christmas Easter am not arsed, but taking the time to line it all up like that to take a pic to try and make out your some super parent on Facebook is just weird.

@Muffty2023 @NidgeHattersSK Buying your kids clothes and shoes isn’t treating them, it’s part of being a parent and something you pretty much do all year round. Why dress it up as treating them. What next buying them a new coat for winter and calling it “Halloween presents”

It’s actually mental how much parents are trying to outdo eachother all over my social media feed this morning Gifts spread all over the sofa like Christmas morning When I was a kid I got an Easter egg and outfit which is exactly what my son woke up to

@samtt097 Tbf you are probably right, I just feel so uninspired by what I’ve seen of Englands second string this past week, ended up trying to place some false hope that a school kid will give us a spark 🤦🏼‍♂️

@jonroche28 He was good, but the performance is also getting overhyped due to his age. Struggled to skim Manning, whose defensive abilities are — by far — weakest part of his game. He’ll end up a great player, but World Cup talk for a player with 8 senior apps (3 starts) is premature IMO

Why does everyone think it’s such a crazy thing to think about when Rooney literally lit up a euros at 17 and lamine yamal played virtually the whole of euro 2024 at 16 years old.
George Elek@GeorgeElek

Southampton clearly the story tonight, but Max Dowman really is something special. Clearly absurd to even speculate about him and England this summer, but impossible not to after the Uruguay and Japan performances, not to mention how far ahead he’s looked of Madueke here

@samtt097 Ok. But he’s also looked sharp and up to the task whenever he’s played, still a month of the season and the business end of champions league to go. If he keeps performing when called upon why not as a wildcard off the bench.

@jonroche28 Yamal had a full season under his belt, starting the majority of Barca’s league and CL games. Rooney had 2 full seasons under his belt. Silly comparison

@Vfynn_ France Collapse again when it matters most? That the same France who has reached back to back World Cup finals, the last one mbappe getting a hat trick to get them back in the game twice.

🚨🗣️ Xabi Alonso on Kylian Mbappé: “People see the goals, the highlights, the numbers… but they don’t see what happens behind closed doors. At Madrid, there were moments where it didn’t feel like a team anymore, it felt like everything had to revolve around one player’s demands. Tactically, emotionally, even in the dressing room… it became suffocating. “People don’t like hearing this, but when one player starts acting like a dictator in the dressing room, the team always pays for it. At Madrid, no one is bigger than the badge, not even Mbappé. If he brings that same attitude, you don’t build a team, you build tension. And if that mentality carries into France national team at the World Cup… don’t be surprised if they collapse again when it matters most.”

Mad that James, trippier and walker all out of it and tuchel still thinks there’s no place for Trent in a 35 man squad 🤯 Whatever you think of his defending (which isn’t as bad as people make out) , he’s someone you’d want to bring on to unlock a tight defence if we need a goal
Henry Winter@henrywinter

Still can’t believe that England are going to the World Cup without arguably their best passer. Watching fringe candidates labour at Wembley highlights even more the nonsense of Alexander-Arnold’s omission. He’s a game-changing option from the bench. If you have pace out wide in Gordon/Rashford and Saka/Madueke/Bowen and want to launch a quick counter, TAA can deliver. If England are in a shoutout, he can deliver. Risk/reward. #ENG

@TEMPMCR The funny thing about his maths is if you rented at £1200 a month for those 25 years you’ve still spent 360k (10k more than the mortgage) but own nothing at the end of it. Thats without factoring in rent increases Plus you get all the hassle of being evicted once or twice etc

Jordan Peterson drops a truth most modern families don’t want to hear: “Daycare under three — especially in the first year — is really not advisable. There isn’t any form of care that can replace a mother’s care in those early years.” He calls it “quite remarkable” that we’ve engineered a world where staying home with young children has become a luxury for most families — “as if by design.” Decades of research (still largely unchanged) shows the critical attachment window in the first 3 years is uniquely supported by consistent, responsive maternal care. Disruptions here correlate with measurable increases in stress reactivity, behavioral issues, and later emotional difficulties. The question we’re afraid to ask: Have we made motherhood incompatible with economic survival on purpose? Parents (especially moms of young kids): Do you feel this pressure — that staying home feels like a luxury you can’t afford? Or have you seen the difference in your own children between early daycare vs. being home those first years? Your honest take 👇

@BOTOB67 @OasisMania @liamgallagher @NoelGallagher They must both be serial liars then about going to watch city as kids and being more into football than music until about 18. Alongside what would be the strangest thing ever jumping on the “Man City bandwagon” when they were at the height of their career and Man City in div 2

@JoeyWebber25 @je14895 @SkyNews Yea fair play with the pic. But they could’ve fought 10 times with 10 different refs and Mayweather would’ve won every one with easy.

An inquest has ruled boxer Ricky Hatton had brain disease caused by repeated head trauma when he died. Senior coroner for South Manchester, Alison Mutch, recorded a verdict of hanging, but also said it was not clear whether the former world champion intended to take his own life. Sky's @KatieBarnfield reports. 🔗 trib.al/cNLjo59
