The below Minnesota Wild arena renovations were gaining major steam recently, after gaining full support from the City of St. Paul.
That was until Governor Walz spoke on the subject this week, and claimed there isn't enough "legislative support" or "appetite among the people" for State-funded arena upgrades -- per @FOX9
Just like that -- momentum dead.

Here's what the @mnwild would like to do to Grand Casino Arena... if Craig Leipold can get the state funding necessary.

@AnthonyLaPanta Won’t be a long series with that kind of special teams play, not to mention getting killed in the dot…same story every playoffs.
English

@RussoHockey Special teams and other than JEEK, brutal in the circle….same story every year

Both teams pretty conservative in the first overtime.
Wild had the better of the territorial advantage - helped lead to a couple of PP chances for the @mnwild
Shots 8-2 Wild in that period - and they start the second OT with 1:10 left on their seventh PP chance of the game.

@RussoHockey Do the refs review plays during intermissions to see if they missed something?

@RussoHockey Both Zuccy and Boldy were dirty head shots and they equated to a single minor penalty.

@JoeSmithNHL If they continue to lose their cool (again) and blow this series, it's time for Foligno to move on. He can talk all he wants about what they (he) learned from the last Dallas series, but I think Faber is clearly calling him out with his comments. Enough already

The #mnwild may be the “tougher” team, as Brock Faber suggests. They may have the edge at 5-on-5 over @DallasStars.
But if they continue to lose their cool, they’re going to lose a series that has the feel of an instant classic.

@tlschwerz Send Clemens up in the bottom of the 8th to face a lefty with a chance to seal up the game with Jeffers sitting on the bench?

@RussoHockey Lots of Wings fans commenting on Bultman’s article that they are ready to see Larkin go. Would love to see him available this summer along with Matthews and B. Tkachuk…give Billy some options for another big fish.

@JoeSmithNHL Good to hear about Spurgeon, no need to push it right now and it's nice to have a depth guy like Petry to play. Trenin and Faber the last two standing who haven't missed a game.
