TL/DR: The fans are failing the MLB all star game by voting NOT for the best players, but for their favorite players, many of whom are actively having bad seasons, but might still be all stars

The Blue Jays, Phillies, and Dodgers bias is particularly hurting the voting process. Yes, they were in the World Series, but Toronto has been straightup terrible this year. Yet they have a finalist at every position, despite not having a single player deserving of an AllStar nod

Among the 18 players leading their position in fWAR in each league, only half are in position to be All-Star finalists. And only 7 of the 18 players who are No. 2 in fWAR for their position are in position to be an All-Star finalists

That's the other aspect of this whole Refsnyder thing that's mind-numbing operationally: he's only ever hitting leadoff or fifth. Today, they're hitting him ahead of the team leader in wRC+. Seriously, it's one thing to play him, but it's a whole other serving of stupid to consistently hit him in the upper half of the lineup.

@HuskiesJack Wong was on the team until late July and he was an every day player. Solano also lasted until July last year in the platoon role. This team has always kept bad players around for too long

I can't remember the last time this Organization kept a player as garbage as Refnsyder for this long, they moved off Wong and Pollock pretty quickly but for some reason this POS is still here, somebody please tell me why he's still here I can't take it anymore...also no Colt?😭✌️🏻
